Updating and understanding a homemade business

Each day offers opportunity for more lessons.

So, as a few things change here and there I am going to recap a few things.

My first post here talked about the bartering system and how I would accept other services or goods for my services. As emails trickle in and people give feedback, I would like to announce that I will keep that business model. I will continue to offer my services for the price you can afford! (Keep in mind I have the right to refuse services and will turn down offers that are insulting but I am willing to work with you.) Cash is great, but if you have a special skill (teach me a language, how to fix my car, cleaning, taxes, upholstery or anything neat you think is valuable – let me know and we can discuss it). A stellar review of my services might be all that is needed so don’t be afraid to hit me up and ask questions.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping wordsmith your next project

Now; Lesson time!

Recently I learned some things about the way I am that I didn’t want to learn. Those lessons are for another type of posting, but the main sentiment I want to share is learning the lesson itself. It is hard to accept reality if it directly negates something we believe. Even those who have low self esteem may have a hard time accepting a truth or a hard lesson because we see certain aspects of ourselves with rose colored glasses, but it is necessary to pay attention and learn for growth. Businesses doesn’t grow unless they learn how to make their business valuable. This is also true of people. Remember, you are valuable but you are also a person! Accepting flaws and truth of what we are is as important as our strengths. Flaws are character in you. Flaws are not you. Don’t forget: you are in fact human. You are not perfect. You are worth investing in. Don’t get so caught up in life that you forget to build a life.

Best wishes in your life lessons
